April Fool to Spring Action
Personal Reflection on Self-Motivation
A lot of things happened for me in late-March and April this year. I prepared for a personal thing over the last 18-months as best as I could physically, mentally, and emotionally. In reflection, I went a little overboard on the emotional preparation. I'll spare you the details. I'll just share my sons' feedback, "Mom, you're too morbid."
I embrace and accept fear by pondering on:
What would be the worst thing that could happen if what I feared came true?
What would I gain from overcoming this fear?
This reflection helps to neutralize any mental and emotional stress and motivates me to move forward. At the end of my particular situation, I gained another funny story to tell (not write), cleared up a lot of things on my "should do" list, and was very productive in my work to help people Lead and Live Well and enjoy a better quality of life.
